When I moved into my first grown-up apartment, I briefly considered decorating it in a style Hightest and I referred to as psycho-ballerina. You know, bird cages spray painted pink, over the top floral chandeliers, velvet drapes with huge tassels, strange wrought iron end tables with animal legs complete with talons.
In the end, I thought better of it, and ended up with something more mainstream for my home. But I sometimes lose track of the mainstream, as I did when I fell in love with Willet . I mean really fell in love, to the point where I decided, in spite of the fact that no one has completed a Willet on Ravelry, that I had to have one. (If you don't believe that there's a norah sweater that no one has made, check it out when you have a chance, you'll see that I am quite correct.)
The lack of other Willets should have been fair warning, but I just thought, great, when I finish it they'll use mine for the project page. That's happened to me several times, and its a rush each time.
Except, I won't be finishing mine.....
I hate it. Sometimes when I hate something, I show it to Operations Man and he doesn't hate it, or I show it to Hightest, and she thinks I'm overreacting. Not this time. Neither of them saw the point in going on, nor did I, so if you like it, here's your opportunity. Go ahead and go all psycho-ballerina, and don't forget, if you can finish this one, there's some prime real estate for you on Rav.
